Code signing is a process that allows reputable companies to immediately get the trust of all computers in the world. Unfortunately, HSMC cannot afford code signing as it costs upwards of $1200 per year.
Microsoft Defender tracks how many times an executable has been downloaded to get an understanding of how trustworthy a file is. Since the launcher is always updated, and is downloaded by less than 100 people, gaining trust is difficult.
