🔁Launcher Update Loop

Make sure you press "Yes" when asked to install to an existing folder. This will prevent the launcher from being stuck in an Update Loop.

Cause and Effect

The reason this problem exists is because of a misconfiguration in the installer. Every time the launcher is installed, it is registered as a new program, instead of an update to the previous one. Depending on how long you have been playing on the server, there could be up to 6 installed programs that are unnecessary.

WHAT TO DO:

As of July 5, 2023 - the most recent HSMC Launcher version is Version 5. Go to your settings, uninstall anything that is labeled HSMC version X. This should remove unnecessary clutter in your computer.

Afterwards, go back here to reinstall the launcher.

Moving forward, this issue shall no longer appear in the future as the generation of version installers are now completely automated.
